On board the Rangoon, Detective Fix, also on the ship, plans to finally arrest Fogg in Hong Kong. Passepartout unknowingly befriends Fix, who he suspects might be spying on them. Meanwhile, Aouda begins to see Fogg's kindness beneath his perfect composure. Everything is going well until a violent storm hits, causing them to fall behind schedule. Fogg now has to make up for every lost hour to stay in the race.
