Deep in the heart of the jungle, time slows to a crawl as Phileas Fogg, Passepartout, and Sir Francis Cromarty continue their journey eastward on an elephant. Despite the challenging terrain, Fogg notes they are still moving in the right direction. They soon discover traces of movement in the forest, realizing they've stumbled upon a sacred, possibly funeral, procession. Their path leads them to a disturbing discovery: a city where a woman is meant to be burned alive. Despite their tight schedule, Fogg declares they must intervene, stating, "We are not going to let that poor woman be burned alive. We have 12 hours lead. We will use it".
